A Struggle To Love Chapter 2

                                                     Chapter 2


       "Are you lost?" The girl repeated looking into the boy's eyes. He glanced up into her emerald green eyes.
       "No, not really." He said looking around the small restaurant. He looked over at the group of kids who were now watching them.
       "Oh okay." The girl said looking a bit disappointed. The boy stood up still staring at the group.
       "Is this a private party? Am I not supposed to be here?" He asked looking at a girl in the group. The girl was wearing a light blue summer dress and kept her light blond hair in a long ponytail. She had grown her bangs out to cover her right eye, the complete opposite of the boy. Her face was a bright red color, and her crystal blue eyes were filled with anger. She placed her hands on her hips as she began to march through the crowd to the other two.
        "No not at all you can stay. My name's Sakura Haruno by the way." The girl said as the blond haired girl approached closer. The boy sat down and stared at Sakura.
        "My name's Deidara." The boy said. He nodded to the seat across the table.
        "Do you want to sit?" Deidara asked. Sakura nodded slowly and sat down. The girl who was obviously angry stood at the end of the table.
        "Just what do you think you're doing Sakura? You're supposed to be over there at MY party." The girl screamed at Sakura. Sakura looked at Deidara.
        "I'm talking to him." Sakura said, a calm expression on her face. The girl turned away and hurried back to the group.
        "Who was that?" Deidara asked Sakura. A smile spread across his lips.
        "Ino Yamanaka." Sakura replied. Deidara smiled at Sakura and tried not to laugh at Ino. Sakura smiled back and soon realized Deidara's smile made her feel like she had butterflies in her stomach.
         "What are you doing here Deidara?" Sakura asked. Deidara's smile faded and he thought back to the Akatsuki.
         "I... I don't really know." Deidara said resting his head in his hands.
         "Oh," Sakura sighed. Deidara could hear the sadness in her voice. He looked up at her and frowned.
         "What's wrong?" He asked her. Sakura blushed realizing Deidara had noticed.
         "Well I was just thinking about when...." Sakura looked away and bit her lip.
         "If you don't mind me asking, when what?" Deidara asked leaning forward.
         "When Sasuke left." Sakura replied. Before she knew it she found herself telling Deidara about the beginning of Squad 7 and her and Sasuke's almost first kiss. She told him all about their missions and what it was like until Sasuke left.
         "I know why he left." Sakura finished just realizing she told Deidara all about them without even knowing him.
         "Why?" Deidara asked.
         "He wanted power. He wanted power so he could kill Itachi Uchiha from the Akatsuki." Sakura said. At the mention of the Akatsuki or even Itachi, Deidara felt he could open up to Sakura and tell her everything.
         "But if I meet anyone from the Akatsuki I swear I will kill them in their tracks. No matter how much they beg for their lives." Sakura said pounding her fist on the table. Deidara felt like his heart almost stopped in his chest. He placed his head back in his hands and hid his face.
          "Then you won't like me." Deidara said all hope leaving him. Sakura looked up at him in surprise.
          "Why?" Sakura asked afraid of what she would hear.
